What To Expect

What's the service like?

Our services are about 60-75 minutes long, and we follow a liturgical format. If you're new to a liturgical setting, it simply means that there's a regular pattern to our worship that revolves around prayer and Scripture. Every element is there with the intention of allowing you to engage with God and respond to God as the Spirit moves. While there are many wonderful ways to worship and do church, we lean into tradition and love the quiet moments that allow us to hear the Spirit speak.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable wearing.
We mean that. Some of our congregants love a good Sunday suit, while others come in jeans. We really don't care. There's a pretty good chance that someone will be dressed in something similar to whatever you've got picked out, so show us your personal style!

I'm going to be bringing children...

Yay! We LOVE children and babies! We believe that children are a vital part of worship and don't keep them separate from the congregation during our Sunday worship services. We want them there, in all their wiggly and messy glory. Be sure to grab one of our children's bags in the back of the sanctuary - each week we fill them with activities and coloring pages for them to engage in worship in their own way.

For babies and toddlers, you have two options. There are rocking chairs in the back that you are welcome to use. If your baby is fussy, we don't mind. It's about your comfort level. We also have a nursery that you're welcome to use. All our nursery workers undergo background checks and are required to adhere to Safe Sanctuaries policies. We take our care for the most vulnerable very seriously.

So, what about communion?

In the early service we have communion every Sunday.
In the second service we have communion on the first Sunday of the month.

We believe that because we are sharing from Christ's table that there are no limits as to who is welcomed. Christ invites ALL to the table, including you. You don't need to be a member of our church or denomination. You don't even have to be Christian, because we believe that you can meet the grace of God within this holy sacrament.
